Product Overview
Percolation tank has cylindrical, conical two types. The tank has a feeding port above, below the slag outlet, the bottom will be installed sieve plate and screen. A large percolation tank with a sandwich, can be heated by steam or water cooling, to achieve the required temperature leaching, and can be atmospheric pressure, pressurized and forced circulation percolation operation.

The percolation method is a kind of coarse powder of herbs placed in the percolation container, the solvent from the upper part of the container is continuously added and flow through the herbs, percolation liquid from the lower part of the continuous outflow, to leach the active ingredients of the herbs method.
In the process of percolation, the solvent is flowing and leaching relative to the drug powder, which is dynamic leaching. The active ingredients are completely leached out and the solvent utilization rate is high. Therefore, the percolation method is suitable for the extraction of precious herbs, herbs containing toxic components, highly concentrated preparations, and herbs with low content of active ingredients, but it is not suitable for the extraction of fresh herbs, herbs that are easily swollen, and herbs without tissue structure.

The solvent for percolation extraction is usually ethanol of different concentrations. The percolation process includes single percolation method, heavy percolation method, pressurized percolation method, etc. 


Working principle
When percolation, the solvent penetrates into the herb cells to dissolve a large number of soluble components after the concentration increases, the density increases and moves downward, the upper layer of the leaching solvent or dilute leachate displaces its position to form a good concentration gradient, so that the diffusion process naturally, so the extraction of active ingredients by percolation is more complete, and eliminates the operation process of separating the residue and leachate.
